It is vital that pet food pellets be properly dried. That’s why we put our products through a two-phase drying process.
In the first phase, the product is put through a drying bin which circulates hot air through the pellets to remove as much moisture as possible.
The second phase sees the product go through a cooling bin which circulates cold air through the pellets and removes any moisture residue while hardening them. This process also removes the impurities like crumbs and dust particles.
The final product is then packaged into micro perforated bags to ensure freshness and prolonged shelf-life.

PROTEIN
Protein is the main source of energy for pets and is the best indication of the quality of a pet food. The higher the percentage, the better the food. It is important to note that not all protein sources are digestible – soya, for example, is a source of protein, but dogs and cats can’t digest it well.
Enerpets only uses protein that is highly digestible ensure active lives for your best friend.
FAT
Ash is not an ingredient – it is the final product of food combustion. In other words, if you were to completely incinerate a bag of pet food, all three major nutrients (protein, fat and carbohydrates) would burn away, leaving just the food’s indigestible minerals behind.
This is a good indication of the digestibility of the food
FIBRE
Fibre can be divided into two main groups: soluble and insoluble. Bacteria that live in the large intestine break soluble fibre down into short-chain fatty acids that are a very important energy source for the cells that line the digestive tract.
Insoluble fibre can help dogs maintain or lose body weight by increasing the volume of food they can eat without adding much in the way of calories

Enerpets products regularly undergo quality tests required through our memberships of the PFI (Pet Food Industry Association of Southern Africa).
We have undergone a strict preventative food safety management system in which every step in the manufacture,
storage and distribution of a food product is analysed for microbiological, physical and chemical hazards.
